“I am a new up coming artist, id think of myself as original. I dont go after trends or anything in that nature and when you hear my music you’ll know that. I like to create visuals in my mind while i write and i like to connect with the people. When you think or hear “ Dallas Hassan “ i want you to think about my stories and the affects and emotions my music give off. I love feedback and connecting with the supporters and just naturalness. My biggest inspiration as an artist was probably when Mac Miller passed, thats when i started writing more and more. I loved his music and him as a person was just so creative and original and unique and Trevor Daniel inspired me to take it to the next level and record. I’m ready to see my potential and if i have what it really takes to be in the music game.”
Tell us all about this new track of yours!
I love to create all types of music, from reggae to latin hip hop and dancehall to soul and hip hop. I love all types of music and i really just want to express myself and tell stories in my music, i want people to know that there’s other types of artist besides your typical rapper, there’s kids like me that try an do it all. This track specifically is about a guy debating if he truly wants to stay with this egotistical and arrogant girl or if he wants to leave. It kind of leaves a cliff hanger wondering if he chooses her or not but it’s definitely one of my favorites so far. My debut single at that.

Where are you from and what is the music scene like?
I’m from Los Angeles, California. I was born and raised in South Central LA, shout out to my family and friends Emerald, Jaylen, Jordan, Marquel I love them people man. But yeah the music scene here is very hip hop and gangster if that makes sense, when you listen to my music and compare it to the main type of hip hop in south central, you would think i’m from somewhere else because of how different my sound is. That’s one of the reasons it took me so long to get the confidence to release this and promote it because of how unexpected the sound is.
How have your life experiences influenced your music?
I’ve been through some stuff growing up, lost my grandma and lots of confidence issues, got homeschooled and went through what seemed like hell at the time. I have a few struggles and when i mention it in my music and when im writing especially, i feel a sense of growth and relief from those times because now im growing and getting passed it, my music is my proof.
